Nia & Andy are getting closer to the day when they will become husband and wife. Here is their love story and how it all began...Nia and Andy met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend in January 2009. They met at a restaurant and as Andy says " he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Nia, as she was "not what he had expected" (in a good way), although it took her a little while longer to warm up to him! None the less, they had an excellent time on their first date and every date that followed.
As Nia said, "Andy and I are both in our 30"s and have never been married. We were both were starting to wonder if marriage was even in our futures"! Things progressed quickly after they met in January. Nia moved to Fallon in April 2009 and they both knew they were meant for each other. Andy proposed to Nia on Labor Day weekend 2009, after hiking to the top of a beautiful mountain. They have chosen to be married in St. Mary's of the Mountains Catholic Church, located in Virginia City, Nevada. Their reception will be held at the famous Pipers Opera House.
Virgina City certainly seems to be quite the popular place for local 2010 weddings, and Nia and Andy's will be one I am certainly looking forward to! With their "shabby sheik, vintage style and the beauty of the perfectly restored St. Mary's of the Mountains Church, it is the perfect place for them to say "I do."
