6 Tips to photograph a wedding

1. Preparation:
The day before the big event, prepare every photo that you will need the kit, being careful to:

* Charge all batteries of cameras.
* Make sure to have spare batteries for flash.
* Format memory cards and all remember that the memory (especially if taken in RAW) Is not enough.
* Check that the sensor on the objectives and there is no dust / dirt, do a sensor cleaning

* Make sure the date and time is correct on all cameras
* Each camera must also have the same white balance settings (possibly CAR) and color correction.
* Make sure the setting is shooting format RAW.
* Remove the filters from the goals that you do not.
* Make sure you have a lens hood to be applied, for images of contrast even in daylight.
* Mark a calendar all times of the program of marriage and try to stay in place in advance.

2. Important: The backup.
During a double shotting you have a backup of each essential tool: the camera, batteries, lenses, flashes, memory cards.
If you do not have the money to have the necessary back-up you can always make you pay you need from a friend or rent all from a camera store.
Remember that the bride and groom are paying very well your work and have the right not to have problems with the photos of the most important day for them. Your task is to be prepared for any difficulty.
If you do not have a DSLR replacement ... bring a good compact!

3. Look how long ago:
Wet bride, lucky bride. But for the photograph taken during a cloudy day can be a difficult challenge to overcome. Have an assistant holding an umbrella is always useful, and if it does not rain too hard and the couple have an umbrella you can always include it in the original photo frame.

4. Understand what style photo taken:
The wedding photographs can be of two types: traditional or photojournalistic, but also a combination of the two different styles.

Lately, the approach is gaining popularity, photojournalistic, in my opinion is the best style for photos only, in fact, find this style on the biggest wedding magazines. This is a less formal, more closely in wanting to capture the feelings and the story of that day, while eliminating static moments that represent the classic wedding photography.

It 'no use to tell you that you do not decide what style to adopt. You will need to understand what the couple wants, using your sensitivity to understand the real intentions of the spouses ... in fact, many times you hear them say "we prefer the more natural pictures" and then instead if you do not have the classic picture of the couple kissing on the terrace of restaurant does not want to even pay you! :D

If you think shooting in a photojournalistic style that is easier to compose shots classically you are mistaken.
It takes a lot of talent to transform an event as formal as a matrimoino a story to tell with the photos, you need the right experience to capture those special moments.
In addition to the above, it is a good idea to ask the couple if there are photographs that will surely want to have a group photo with relatives who live far away, pictures of the environment we recommend a particularly important place for the couple, etc. ...

5. The key importance of taking photographs.
During the day you can take lots of photos, but do not get the pillars that represent the key photo of your photo shoot.
Before the big wedding day look at the pictures of the greatest photographers and note down the most beautiful and successful picture ... how did the photographer to capture that moment? what type of light used?

Look at the little details, the way the light hits the subject, the positioning of the hands, the naturalness of the groom posa.Catturate and whispers something into the ear of the bride and try to let the emotions in the camera!

6. Once done ... post-production and printing.
The day is done! You have photographed all photographed and now you end up with gigabytes of files RAW to choose, revise, edit and print ... you thought your job was over eh?

Start downloading images to a PC and immediately creating a backup on a external hard drive or on DVD, once you have all the pictures, begin the work of elimination of the images by removing all those pictures that will be presented to the bride and groom (to err is human , but it is better not to see blurry photos with eyes closed or the customer).

Do remain in the first harvest only good quality shots that show the couple the best and provide a key to complete the day and the event.
If you need some photos of a slight retouching in post-production, try not to ruin the quality of the image ... personally I recommend that you act only on the crop and curves.

The presentation of the photos to a couple:
Definitely do not send photos by e-mail to the couple, so you have to think about how to present the fruit of our work with professionalism. It is not enough to make a DVD with the words "wedding photos", printed on fine art the best pictures and ask the couple if they want a picture book.
Along with the photos, the couple delivered a note of thanks for the opportunity and responsibility you have given.
